1. (Jargon)
a) (bes. im Geschäftsleben) mündliche Vereinbarung, Übereinkunft:
[mit jmdm.] ein A. treffen;
b) schriftliche Vereinbarung:
ein A. unterzeichnen.
2. (Völkerrecht) zwischen Staatsmännern getroffene Übereinkunft auf Treu u. Glauben, die nicht der parlamentarischen Zustimmung od. Ratifikation bedarf.

 1) allgemein: Zustimmung, Vereinbarung, Übereinkunft.
 
 2) Diplomatie: Agrément.
 
 3) internationales Recht: in der angloamerikanischen Rechtssprache teils Oberbegriff für völkerrechtliche Verträge (treaty, convention), teils Bezeichnung für weniger wichtige Übereinkommen zwischen Staaten (»executive agreement«, »administrative agreement«), die in der Regel keiner parlamentarischer Zustimmung und Ratifikation bedürfen.
